Central Government are committed to reducing carbon emissions from fossil fuels and are encouraging the take-up and use of alternative fuels, of which wood is the most easily accessible and completely sustainable.
The market for wood fuel burning equipment is expanding and could be very large and cover all sections of the community. At present most of the interest is in our Vigas central heating boilers. These are highly sophisticated and effective (85%) gasifying downdraught burning boilers. They are equipped with multi function digital controls covering maximum temperature, slumbering temperature, timing - all of which may be varied day to day. In addition there are pre-set programmes for maintaining pre-set temperatures.

The Vigas boilers are eligible for a grant from the Clear Skies organisation of £1500. To qualify for the grant the installations have to be carried out by Clear Skies approved engineers. A pre-requisite of the Clear Skies is that the heating installer is HETAS approved. Should you be at all interested in the wood burning appliances in this rapidly expanding market perhaps you would be kind enough to contact us and we could discuss ways forward as we are looking for engineers to recommend to our customers.
